Managing Your Subscription

Having a problem getting your newsletter? Or perhaps you can't even sign in to see if you have a subscription? Here's a step-by-step visual quickstart guide:

1. Click the “Sign in” button to the left of the subscribe button.


2. Input your email to the login popup window.


3. Check your inbox for the 6 digit code and input that six digit code on this popup screen.


4. Look for an email that looks like this:


5. When you login in, you’ll see a temporary banner in the top right of the screen.


6. When the banner disappears, you’ll see just the Account button. Click on that.


7. This is where you can edit your emails. Click on Manage, under Emails:


8. Now you can see which newsletters you are subscribed to. You might want to toggle this on and off, just to refresh the system.

Now wait for the weekly emails (they are emailed every Wednesday) and if you don’t get one, you can either click on Get Help link at the bottom of your Account window (or look just below this, Help! I'm not receiving emails!) to find more troubleshooting steps. After that, if you still don't get emails, please contact ross@jeffcobeacon.com to escalate your issue with our web site platform (Ghost).


Help! I'm not receiving emails

If you're not receiving the email newsletter you've subscribed to, here are a few things to check.

Verify your email address is correct

The email address we have for you is [YOUR EMAIL] — if that's not correct, you can update it in your account settings area.

Check spam & promotions folders

Make sure emails aren't accidentally ending up in the Spam or Promotions folders of your inbox. If they are, click on "Mark as not spam" and/or "Move to inbox".

Create a new contact

In your email client add the-jefferson-county-beacon@ghost.io to your contacts list. This signals to your mail provider that emails sent from this address should be trusted.

Send an email and say hi!

Send an email to the-jefferson-county-beacon@ghost.io and say hello. This can also help signal to your mail provider that emails to and from this address should be trusted.

Check with your mail provider

If you have a corporate or government email account, reach out to your IT department and ask them to allow emails to be received from the-jefferson-county-beacon@ghost.io
