Today is the first annual Local News Day, a day to celebrate the importance of local journalism. The Beacon is only as strong as its relationships; it's relationship with you, the reader, and our relationships with other entities in our rural community.
So, to celebrate Local News Day, Beacon editor Nhatt Nichols sat down with KPTZ board chairman Jon Pinnow to talk about the importance of local news, and the role accurate information plays in being a good citizen and neighbor.
